The University of Jordan (JU) is a modern institution of higher education in Jordan. Established in 1962, the university looks back to a long tradition of advancing and disseminating knowledge. In its capacity as a comprehensive teaching, research and community-service institution, the JU enables its 38,000 students to choose from a wide range of programs - more than 3,500 different courses are offered by 18 faculties. From an international perspective, JU offers 63 international programs at the undergraduate level and 130 international programs at the graduate level. All programs combine traditional academic lecturing with the more liberal methodologies of instruction which are based on dialogue, research, and creative thinking.
